There are two different sized plugs on the cartridge. The large one is for filling, while the small stopper must be open during operation so that there is no vacuum in the cartridge and the ink can flow.

!A notice! Since there is neither an auto-reset chip nor a chip resetter for this printer model, a new disposable chip must be installed after 1000ml of ink has been used. This is included as standard in the scope of delivery of 1L refill ink compatible with Epson ® SureColor F-2000.
